The status of a product or batch is superior to the status of an individual pack
Did you know that the status of a product or batch is superior to the status of an individual pack?
Pack verification in the CZMVS always comprises 3 levels. Product, Lot and Pack. A package can only be successfully supplied/decommissioned if the status is active at all three levels. For instance, if the system detects, at the product level, that it is not active (the product has been withdrawn), further levels will not be evaluated and the system wil disallow any transaction with the concerned pack . The same applies in a situation where the product is active, but the Lot has already expired or been recalled. In such cases, the pack level will not be evaluated.
If the product is recalled or the batch is expired/recalled, the status of the individual packs is not relevant.
In case of an expired batch, we therefore recommend that individual packs not be decommisssioned to the „Destroyed“ state since the batch status on its own deactivates the concerned pack.
