Launched a pilot phase to transition the Alert Management System (AMS) to two-factor authentication

Today, 3^rd May, 2023, the pilot phase for transitioning the Alert Management System (AMS) to two-factor authentication was launched. A user (pilot participant) using web access currently has the option to select either email or Google Authenticator as the second factor (can be changed at any time by the user). 

At the same time, API version 2.0, using OAuth2, has been released to the production and test environments. 

We anticipate completion and evaluation of the pilot phase in the second half of May 2023. We then plan to begin mandatory use of 2FA authentication for web interface access for all AMS users in early June. API 1.0 will be able to be used in parallel with API 2.0 until approximately the end of October 2023.
